Changes to my study programme
There are many things that I would
change from my study programme, because because in general journalism is a
career that is constantly changing. For instance, technology, immediacy, new
ways of communicating, new audiences and other social issues that affect the
world, are some of the factors that must be considered in my study programme.
One of the biggest problems of my study
programme is that most of the subjects are on topics such as cultural studies,
epistemology, communication history and other things, but there are not many practical
subjects on journalism and that is a big problem. When I did my internship, I
realized that I didn’t have enough journalistic practice and I had to work
twice as hard to get a good result.
On the other hand, the most of courses
are very extensive, even some classes can lasts three hours and I think it's a
lot, because it is impossible that the students are concentrate for all those
hours. That is why I would change the duration of the classes to be shorter and
more dynamic. I think it is important that teachers use technology in their courses,
because that facilitates learning and makes it more dynamic.
In general, the facilities of the
faculty are not the best, I think there should be more spaces to study, since
the library is very small and there are always people talking loudly. In
addition, there are not many places to sit outdoors and be distracted, most of
the green areas have no grass or are very uncomfortable. I believe that this is
very important, because everyone needs a nice space to rest during breaks.
